I have been doing the Fast 800 with great success for about 6 weeks now. I feel I am really lacking energy as I used to walk every day and have not done this for nearly 2 weeks due to poor energy levels.
Has anyone suffered from this and what would my best solution be to boost energy without too many calories?

Your body handles electrolytes differently if you are low carb against high carb. – When you are low carb your body releases fluid more readily and that means your kidneys will also be releasing salt. Which causes the carb flu / feeling of lack of energy.
The common recommendation is to increase your salt intake to restore the balance. If you search for pink Himalayan salt you will find a number of posts on the this topic.
Personally I just lick my finger and dip it into a bag of salt and lick it off a couple of times a day. So a very small bag of salt lasts a long time.

I’m on day 11 of BSD WOE and was feeling great, was up early for a hospital visit, full of beans laughing around, but by the time I got to the station I feel empty of energy, literately crawled into work and now struggling to keep eyes open! I feel totally wiped out, really strange.

Sorry to contradict, but bananas and brown rice are super high in carbs and largely no-no’s on the BSD, as both will cause blood sugar spikes. Much better to add a little more protein and up your salts a little, as JGwen advised. If these solutions don’t help, perhaps seeking a medical check could be the way to go.

Hi, half way through week 2 and feeling ( mainly)great but that wasn’t the case last week. I am finding that it depends when I eating the bulk of my carbs effects my levels of energy. For example Tuesday I had most of my carbs in the evening, so yesterday I was bouncy and cleaned the house and managed a very short run. Yesterday I ate my carbs at lunchtime and I have an almost carb free dinner. This morning I felt like a sloth. I think I’m not yet at the stage where I can quickly convert fats to energy. Not sure how long that takes to happen
