So next Thursday we will be 11 weeks from Christmas Eve. Still plenty of time to lose that extra inch or so or even just drop a couple of pounds.

Also, we are very near to the end of the year but we still have a quarter to go. So much time, we can end the year with an overall loss. The loss doesn’t have to be huge, a pound or so will do for us to be able to say “I lost weight in 2026!”

Please travel with us towards Christmas and the New Year.

Hi V, thank you for setting up this thread. I will be with you. I have set myself a goal of losing 4kgs as I want to be 71kgs. Will post here and try to keep on topic – food and diet.

See you tomorrow with my new starting weight after my night out. Looks like I will be back on a Tuesday weigh in.

Didnt get weighed this morning as Chatbot said I would have put on weight after a meal and drinks at our quiz night and not to disappoint myself and make a thing about it. So I will do it tomorrow. We won the quiz again, getting a bit boring as it is either us or one other team so people are not turning up and our numbers are dwindling.

Back tomorrow after my weigh in. Definitely wont be the 1.5kg down I was last week.

Sounds like a good plan s-g. I’m still using Tuesday as my weigh-in day. I just can’t get used to other days after years of Tuesdays! So yesterday’s starting weight is in my book.
So far this year I’ve lost the grand total of 2.6lbs! Note to self: must do better in the last quarter of the year!

Verano, it is weight loss. When I feel down I look at my earlier charts and see I have lost 16lbs since starting. It is not great that I cannot seem to lose any more but I can say I have maintained that weight loss for 10 years.

Weigh in and I am up half a kilo. Only to be expected after 2 meals and 2 evenings with wine. Back to being strict, although strict for me is my normal.

I did 20 mins strength exercises yesterday, 10 mins of pilates this morning and doing TRE so not eating after 8pm or before 1pm – around 16 or 17 hrs fasting. Still not getting enough protein.

Looking forward to hearing more goals and tips from others who want to join us.

Sorry not to be here sooner but I’ve been a bit under the weather the last few days but all is well now.

I stared doing some chair exercises a week or so ago which included stand-ups. I think I may have injured my knee! Or maybe my knee has just worn out! Anyway, not feeling my best at the moment. In saying that food wise I’ve been really good and my blood sugar is great so not all doom and gloom.

S-g I’ve gone back to two meals a day but having my first around 9/10ish. Oats with fruit, seeds and nuts and it seems to keep me full until dinner around 6pm. I’m finding that that works better for me. I’m not hungry during the day but I really do think the secret is to mix and match and to throw the body some curved balls time wise. It’s all trial and error as we are all individuals.

S-g looks like so far it’s just you and me …….. “is there anybody out there…..”

Hi V, I too have been under the weather with flu like symptoms but feeling better today. Also I seem to have put my back out – more like siatica pain down one leg. Not sure if its the squats and weights so giving them a miss for now. Weight is not great but still less than I was 3 weeks ago when daughter went home. Have to count the good wherever we can find it.

Dont know where people are, maybe there are a lot more on weight loss drugs. Good for them, my doctor wont let me have them even though I am diabetic.

    Hello.

S-g glad you’re feeling better. Today I am back to 95%. I have had a ‘pulled muscle’ or something in my knee. At first I feared something far worse as over the course of a few days I couldn’t even lift my leg from the ground it was so painful. Just shuffled along! Anyway after several days bed rest it seems to have righted itself. I think it was from doing chair stand ups. S-g it could very well be the squats! Just have to very careful. I’ve decided that even mildly vigorous exercise is just not for me. Don’t want to go through that pain again!

Otherwise, not much to report from this end. Weight moving down gradually.

Looks like we are just two….. turtle doves!

Yes, Christmas is coming. We have a couple of dozen people the week before for drinks, bubbles and bites. It’s so difficult to find carb friendly ‘bites’ but I’m doing my best to incorporate some. Have to say when it’s my own thing I tend not to eat that much anyway just making sure the ‘guests’ are ‘fed and watered’.

So s-g looks like we are still just two. Anyway since the beginning of October I have actually had a loss, 3.4lbs, so not too unhappy about that. My realistic goal is 1lb a week. So if I make that within a pound I’m happy. I have to say I’ve relaxed quite a lot lately. A few times a week I have a slice of my homemade seeded wholemeal bread. Today at 10.30 I had brunch of a slice of my bread, butter, 2 scrambled duck eggs and some smoked salmon. It’s now 5pm and I’m not even slightly hungry! Shame really because I have shoulder of lamb roasting in the oven. I have to say now that I more relaxed with food I’m more relaxed generally, or maybe that’s down to meditation or a combination of both. Who knows what next week will bring?

Now we are just 9 weeks from Christmas and so 10 to the end of the year …… still time!
