Hello everyone,
Long-time lurker, first post. I’ve been following the BSD approach since spring and the biggest challenge for me isn’t the food – it’s keeping the routine while travelling.
In September I’m doing a walking holiday on the Lycian coast in southwest Turkey (based in Kas). Long walks, fresh fish and grilled vegetables, no problem with the diet itself. But I noticed one thing: walking 10+ km a day in heat, my readings drop much lower than at home, and I had to adjust.
Question for those who combine BSD with active holidays: how do you handle snack planning on long walking days? Nuts and cheese work at home, but in heat I’m worried about food safety. Would love to hear your experience (and if anyone has walked the Lycian Way while on BSD – even better!).
